The pros and cons of the Tao

Know the masculine, yet hold to the feminine, and become the valley stream of the world.  As the valley stream of the world, eternal virtue never leaves you, and you return to the pure state of a baby. Know the bright, yet hold to the dark, and become the model for the world.  As the model for the world, eternal virtue never fails, and you return to the boundless source. Know honor, yet hold to lowliness, and become the valley of the world.  As the valley of the world, eternal virtue becomes full, and you return to the uncarved block. When the uncarved block is scattered, it becomes all things in the world.  The sage follows the uncarved block in governing and becomes the leader of all things.  So perfect governance does not tear apart the natural simplicity of things.
